June 2008
In this newsletter we have a couple of articles that might inspire you to embark on your own adventure. But first you might like to check you are who you think you are, as Alan Tilley found when his local authority inadvertently turned him into a woman.
If you are looking for advice on planning your adventure, the BBC website published an interview with Richard Worrall who travelled 1000 miles on 80 local buses. They have even planned a route from Penzance to Berwick for you, with details of the times of all the buses you would need to catch on the 6 day journey.
If all that planning sounds like hard work, Tessa Lowe managed to travel from Sutton Coldfield to South Shields without consulting any bus timetables first.
If you have already completed a long distance bus journey, we can now offer you a Bus Pass Challenge mug, for sale via our website. This colourful and attractive earthenware mug will let everyone know of your achievements.
Inspiring your adventure
The awards are sponsored by You Did It Ltd who will supply winners with a personalised mug and personalised framed print commemorating their achievement.
